SHOW QUALITY CUSTOM BUILT BOBBER / CHOPPER – L O W R E S E R V E – (THIS IS ONE BAD ASS BIKE) Up for sale is my custom built one off bobber. Bike was completed & titled the last week of December ’08. Let me start by saying that you will see a few nice bikes on listing & Craigslist but the key word is “FEW”. Most of them are just ok, with the asking price way too high. This is not the case with my bike… it is truly A M A Z I N G ! I had it built for me by a local builder here in Southern California and was involved in every aspect of the build. I hurt my back and have found that motorcycle riding is not in my doctors plans for continued relief. So, I have decided to sell my pride and joy. I take is for short rides around the neighbor hood which is why it only has 260 miles… its never been on the freeway! I’t took me forever to find a builder that I felt comfortable with and one that I felt would pay extra attention to detail while being completely careful through each and every step. As you will see in the photos, my builder used 3M blue tape to protect everything as he went. On to the bike. It has a KraftTech rigid frame that has been powder coated gloss black, DNA chrome springer front end, DNA gloss black powder coated rims with 60 twisted stainless steel spokes on each with glass black powder coated hubs, 21″ Metzler tire in the front & a 200mm Metzler rear, Performance Machine front & rear brakes, Perform Machine forward foot controls, Performance Machine grips, Nash “Gimp Hanger” ape hanger handle bars that have also been powder coated gloss black, custom machined “one off” polished billet aluminum risers, custom left side rear view mirror…mounted up side down for that trick look, Westbury Hot Rods “Big Baller” gas cap…sent out to be polished…and mounted in custom gas tank so the crown actually sits off to the side with an attitude…VERY VERY BITCH’N, chrome springs on leather wrapped springer seat pan with custom machined one off spring mounts, chrome Pingle fuel pet cock (the best), S&S 96 inch Super Stock motor with polished billet aluminum side cover (an upgrade), S&S Super E carb, Baker Drivetrain 6-Speed POLISHED BILLET ALUMINUM transmission (the very best), chrome drive chain for that old school look, old school looking coil with chrome mounting bracket and stainless steel spark plug wires, polished twisted spoke looking shift linkage, custom gloss black powder coated side license plate bracket with 1928-1931 Ford style tail/break light that lights “STOP” when breaking (very old school) and aTauer Machine polished billet aluminum open primary belt drive with 3 inch Gates belt (COOLEST OUT THERE…SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE A SUPER CHARGER ON A CAR MOTOR…THE WHINE MAKES THE BIKE SOUND SO BAD ASS). One thing I feel sets one bike apart from the next is the exhaust pipes. I really wanted a set that was unlike no other so I had this set custom made. I had my builder purchase a brand new set of chrome pipes that we could cut, so we could use the header pipe part and go from there. Once mocked up, welds were completed, sanded and pipes were sent out for chroming. The results, which I’m sure you will agree are amazing… and so is the sound. You will not see another set like this ever. The paint is outstanding to say the least. My original vision was that the bike be all black & silver. Well, I requested that the paint be done in gloss black with HEAVY silver metallic. When I got the tins back from the painter, there was so much silver metallic that the glass black turned a deep charcoal grey… better than I could’ve every dreamed of so I kept it. Over the gloss black with heavy silver metallic are old school scallops done in “hand laid & hand spun” REAL SILVER LEAF. The hand spinning once laid gives it a “machined” appearance. If you know anything about gold or silver leafing, you know that is an “art” and takes a very talented hand to apply correctly. All silver leafing is has been hand pin stripped in a deep red wine color. The top of the rear fender, gas tank and headlight have all been pin stripped as well with the same deep red wine color as well as in a rich grey. The fins on the oil bag/battery box were also painted to give the appearance that the oil bag was almost floating inside the frame. I wanted this bike to be as old school as it could and I think that paint is second to none. I may be forgetting some items but hopefully not. All I can say is that this bike is just amazing to see and ride. If you’re looking for a bike that rides nice. gets all the looks, draws a crowd…girls… & thumbs up and makes you feel like you’re “it”… then this is the bike for you. Also, every single part on this bike was purchased BRAND NEW… there was not one used part put on this bike. There is not a dent, scratch or ding anywhere on this bike…it looks like the day I picked it up. Everything works perfectly. You will not find a cleaner bike out there. 1973 Harley Davidson FLH Shovelhead Bobber/Chopper. This bike was built over the last year from the ground up. Matching frame and engine numbers with a clean and clear title, 1973 FLH. I will ship anywhere as long as buyer pays for all shipping costs and schedules pickup, and total payment is made beforehand. The Specifications are as follows: Drivetrain -Complete Motor Rebuilt. Bottom end/oil pump done by the local harley shop, Heads totally cleaned/ reworked by Truett and Osborn, as well as boring. Hastings rings, new bearings throughout, colony hardware all around, colony solid lifters, Andrews A grind cam, Rivera mechanical advance. New cam bearings. Engine has mabye 50 miles on fresh rebuild. Not even broken in, but fires easily. I HAVE PAPERWORK FOR ALL THE WORK, not a suspicious rebuild, I got documentation. -S&S Super E, freshly rebuilt with aftermarket air cleaner, S&S enrichment knob. -Rebuilt 4 Speed transmission, Kick only, jockey shifter, new bearings all around and sprockets. -5 finger clutch hub with roller bearings, BDL 1.5 inch belt drive with outboard bearing support, new ALTO red clutch plates. –Custom fabricated 2 into 1 exhaust with Megaphone. Chassis -powdercoated black original harley hubs and rims, laced with Buchannans stainless steel spokes. New bearings in the wheels. -New AVON MKII tires front and rear. -Wilwood rear brake caliper, with fresh OEM style master cylinder, stainless steel brake rotor. -Custom cobra style seat. -After Hours Choppers taillight, with panhead nacelle on the front with a halogen light. -Ballistic Lithium Battery. -Paughco Half-Moon floor boards. -Progressive front suspension with Dyna rear shocks. -Panhead round swing arm. -Stainless Steel handlebars with new throttle/throttle cables. -Custom built aluminum horseshoe oil tank. I think that about covers it, im sure im forgetting a few little things. The pictures do the bike justice. The bike was just finished, and is extremely fresh. Im selling to pay for school bills that came up very quickly. I have much, much more invested than I am asking, but im not trying to get it back, just what I need to get square again.
